Our reunion dinner at Luk Yu Tea House was a success, with
a turnout of 82 people. I am thrilled that our class had the best
turnout, with a couple of our classmates flying back especially
from the US to attend. I have to admit that I cannot remember the
food at all, as we were all too busy catching up with one another.
We took lots of photos, all of which will surely be treasured. The
restaurant was very efficient and we finished dinner surprisingly
early – so early that we all decided to move on to another location
where we could continue to chat.
My homecoming experience this time has been especially
memorable – maybe this has something to do with age. The
most important element of it all was being able to reconnect
with my former classmates. Though many years have passed,
our individual characters have hardly changed – the voices, the
expression and the ease that we feel towards each other that time
cannot alter. I guess, this is due to the common bond that we all
share – once a St. Paulian, always a St. Paulian!
