Dr Philip Leong (1965), Chairman of the SPCCAA and Dr
Moses Cheng (1967), Chairman of the School Council both
delivered their touching and thought-provoking speeches.
Apart from unveiling a series of interesting events for our
upcoming centenary celebration of our alma mater such as
open days, concerts, new theme song, and the variety show,
Dr Leong also reminded us of the importance of remaining
harmonious amidst recent political events in Hong Kong
notwithstanding the difference in opinions, and to keep the
SPCC motto of “Faith, Hope and Love” at heart.
The evening also marked the first honourable appearance of
Dr Cheng and his immediate family in an alumni event after
becoming the Chairman of the School Council. Dr Cheng
took a moment to lead us in remembering the late Dr Marvin
Cheung, Honorary Treasurer of the School Council cum alumni
and a member who truly lived St. Paul’s spirits to the fullest.
This was the perfect moment for us to reflect on the ethos of
our School – integrity, scholarship and excellence, modesty
and simplicity of life.
