The Gala Dinner was kicked off with a captivating Chinese
drum performance by the SPCC Primary School. Students
in bright red and gold Chinese costumes captured every
guest’s attention with their energetic and well-choreographed
routine, which was the perfect opening for our evening
of celebration. A surprise came when Becky Lee (1995)
and Derek Yeung (1989), the masters of ceremonies in the
Convention Hall, suddenly said hello to the other pair of
MCs in the Grand Hall – Renee So (1989) and Harry Wong
(1980), and the four of them all appeared on the screens
simultaneously to interact. This was made possible by our
zealous production team, headed by alumna Ingrid Leung
(1990), who linked up the two banquet halls through fiber
optics to showcase a simulcast of both halls and stages!
According to HKCEC, we were the only secondary school in
Hong Kong who had done such a celebratory arrangement in
their venue so far!
